You mustn’t place any one person on such a high pedestal. They can’t be your world. Your sun can’t rise nor set based on their presence or absence in your life. When you focus solely on their importance, equally beautiful things begin to lose their, well, beauty. Warm, sunny days aren’t as bright as they were. They no longer bring memories of good vibes and good company at the beach or at barbeques. Music doesn’t strike you as deep as it did when you were able to sing along whole heartedly, with passion. Food, is just something to put in your mouth to fill your stomach. It lacks taste and color. And Love, when coming from others besides that one person, feels less than love. There is so much more out there for you if you would only shift your focus. That one person can’t and shouldn’t define you.
